Sowing.ch is a Swiss platform dedicated to the sale and purchase of craft, handmade, & artisanal products. Our platform is available in 4 languages (FR, DE, IT, EN) and is equipped with a secure payment system. You will find below the most frequently asked questions, divided into a seller's part and a buyer's part.

Do I need to register to place an order?

Yes, it is necessary to register and record the necessary information to place an order.

My name or address has changed. What do I need to do?

You must keep your information up to date at all times, if you wish to make a change you can do so via your personal account settings.

Why can't I suddenly find a certain item or an item has disappeared from my shopping cart?

If you can no longer find an item, either on the site or in your shopping cart, it is because it was purchased more quickly by another buyer.

Is it possible to order from abroad?

No, for the moment it is only possible to order and sell in Switzerland.

You need to launch the procedure to recover a password you may have forgotten. If the problem persists, please send us an email to info@sowing.ch.

What are the delivery and payment methods?

It is only possible to pay by card through a fully secure system. Delivery costs are included in the sale price of the items. The choice of carrier is specific to each designer.

How much are the delivery costs?

No delivery charges are added to the price of the item.

What are the delivery times?

Your items should be shipped within 3 days following your order as long as you have not requested a personalized creation for which it will probably take longer. Nevertheless, we ask for your understanding if your items are sent with an additional delay.

What items can I return and how? What do I need to pay attention to? Who bears the return costs and how is the purchase price refunded?

The items you are returning must not have been used and must be returned in the same condition as when you received them. Returns are not possible for personalized creations or unique creations made at the buyer's request. The return costs are at the expense of the buyer and these must be sent within a maximum of 14 days from receipt of the items, after this period, no more returns will be taken into account. Once the goods have been received by the seller, you will receive a refund in the form of a voucher (of the value of the goods you purchased) to be redeemed on Sowing.ch.

What to do if a parcel does not arrive?

If your package does not arrive, please contact us at info@sowing.ch, 

What to do when the merchandise arrives damaged?

You are required to check the merchandise upon delivery and validate it or not with the carrier. If your order arrives damaged and this damage is not caused by the carrier, please contact us at info@sowing.ch.

I don't speak the 4 languages that are set up on Sowing.ch, is this a problem?

Don't worry, we have set up an automatic translation system for the insertion of articles. The description of your store is not automatically translated but you will find tools on the net to allow you to easily fill in this information if you wish.

Can I create a seller's store if I do not live in Switzerland?

No, you must have an address in Switzerland to be able to sell your items on our platform.

My name or address has changed. What do I have to do?

You must keep your information constantly updated, if you wish to make a change, you can do so via your personal account settings.

Do I need to have special computer skills to use Sowing.ch?

We have made the use of our platform as simple as possible and you should, by following the instructions, succeed in creating and managing your sales space. 

How much does Sowing.ch cost ?

We want to encourage creators, craftsmen and producers. That's why the use of our platform is completely free until the sale. We receive a 10% commission on each sale which allows us to finance part of the platform costs.

What do I need to start selling on Sowing.ch?

You first need to create a seller account here, then upload the items you want to offer for sale. Don't forget to insert the corresponding photos and descriptions and to pay special attention to what you are going to publish.

What happens when I receive an order?

When you receive an order notification you must proceed with the shipment of the items within 3 days. Pay special attention to the shipment of your packages (reasonable delays, packaging, protection, ...). Sowing.ch, can not be held responsible for lost or damaged packages.

Do I have to ship the items myself ?

Yes, you manage your stock and you take care of sending your items.

How do I create my store ?

You can create your store by clicking here. You will have to fill in a certain amount of information to be able to sell your creations. We strongly advise you to consult our section "Tips for designers".

What can I sell on Sowing.ch?

Handcrafted, handmade & local products/articles. Attention, you are responsible for the items you sell (respect of the law, hygiene conditions, security,...) and Sowing.ch, having no control over your items, cannot be held responsible in case of problem. You will find on our Terms and Conditions of Sale, details about prohibited items.

I will not be available for a few days and therefore I can not take new orders ... How to do?

We have set up a system that allows you to put your store on standby during your absence. 

Am I free to leave Sowing.ch when I want ?

Of course you can! You are free to leave our platform whenever you want. Nevertheless, we ask you to honor orders already placed. You can use our store standby system in the meantime to keep access to current order information but prevent new requests.

When will I get paid?

Sowing.ch makes a transfer to the craftsmen/creators once a month, usually at the end of the month.

Why does Sowing.ch receive a commission on sales ?

The sale of your items is completely free. Sowing.ch is remunerated on the sales made in order to pay all that is necessary for the good functioning of the platform (putting online and maintenance of the website, secure payment system, administrative costs, ...).

Remember that your sale price must include the price of the item, VAT, shipping costs and the commission received by Sowing. Once the sale has been concluded, it is no longer possible to change the price.
